It's not a ton of money, but I am far more likely to return to places that I feel appreciated, and this is for sure not one of those.Parking:Parking is complimentary. But if I had just gotten a courtesy call, it would've made a difference. My message was basically if there was anything that could be done, I would appreciate it. it wasn't like I didn't cancel the booking and stayed elsewhere. I said that although it was my fault that the second booking wasn't cancelled, we did indeed stay at the hotel and paid for a room. I called back again and left another message asking if there was anything that could be done to help reverse my second charge. Not even a "I'm so sorry, I think perhaps you made a mistake and didn't cancel." It was just "That was for room _". Brandon called me back and left a message (I was working) concretely stating that one charge was from the room we stayed in and another was for "room _", which I paid for because I didn't cancel my booking. I explained the two charges, and didn't really understand what had happened. I did, and was only able to leave a message. I called the hotel, and was told that the account/finance manager, Brendan(?), was off that day and I needed to call back. At that point, I didn't even realize that the reservation was still intact. It was only after I checked my credit card account that I noticed two charges. At check-out, again no one mentioned that I would be paying twice. At check-in, no one said, "Hey, you have two reservations here." No mention of the double booking. I'm always looking for better deals, and have navigated through booking/rebooking/canceling on dozens of trips. But.I had mistakenly left open a reservation on, even after I had found a better rate on the hotel website. No complaints about the room or shuttle service. The staff were all very sweet and helpful. Let me start by saying that my overall stay was fantastic.
